Unicorno series 2

You have no idea how excited I am to say that a unicorno series 2 has been confirmed and are ready to pre-order! According to Forbidden planet (UK) they are expected on December 31st. Perfect start to the new year! Although the full set hasn't been revealed as yet Tokidoki's Instagram - Tokidokibrand has been releasing images of the new collection one by one! and each one is better than the next.

The first taster the collection,
possibly my favourite unicorno!
This Japanese themed unicorno is bursting with oriental flair, from the cherry blossoms to the chopsticks in it's mane,
this unnamed unicorno is a must for my collection.

Meet Bamboo - A pandacorn!
A gorgeous panda themed unicorno,
straight from the depths of Tokidoki Land

The Third :Say hello to Rodeo
A gorgeous rocking unicorno, Based on a rocking horse
this unicorno is all set with handles and a board.

Meet sunny day
The white unicorno covered in polka dots,
An adorable unicorno for anyone's collection!

Meet caramelo
I love this unicorno! it looks as if it's based on the day of the dead. With a mexican skull themed face and bones covering it's body. I love the use of colour on this one!

The full collection can be seen here. I'm really not sure about the last 2 but I'm in love with the rest!

My tokidoki collection #2

So after searching for months for a Latte, Ebay finally granted my wish and although one of my mates figured out He was on there too and bumped the price up he is finally mine, Ebay is also a curse in my book, spent way too much on tokidoki figures, So here are the latest in my overflowing collection!

 Mou Mou, Choco and Latte!

Latte is quite frankly my most sought after tokidoki Character, I honestly Can't believe I now own one! I Think after till death do us part the moofia is my favourite of the Tokidoki clans of characters! Although with the chances of me finding a latte I told my mum I wouldn't need to buy another figure, (so we'll keep that a secret for now, hello royal pride)

Devil robots x Tokidoki Trexi.

Now I didn't realise this existed till I stumbled upon her on ebay, I'm not too sure what I make of her she does have another side to her and is adjustable. I love the fact that I sort of have something close to a tokidoki girl in my collection.

My tokidoki collection!

Now if you know me personally, you'd know I have a soft spot for anything remotely cute or hello kitty. Out of this strange obsession and yes it is strange when your best friends have to answer the question 'why are you in the kids section looking for a birthday card if she's 19' my love of vinyl toys appeared, specifically tokidoki!

I'm in love with Simone lengos work and 90% of my collection as you'll see in this post is tokidoki! Amongst these I do have a gloomy bear kid robot figure which started my collection, I found it in the window of a charity shop and made my mum que outside for it the next day and at £1 it's the best buy I've ever had! and some skellanimals along with a little mermaid Barbie!

At the moment my collection is mainly based around Unicorno's and Cactus pals! As you have to buy unicorno's blind boxed I have a double of ritmo and bellina as well as dolce, mooka and pepperino I have singly! just 5 more to go till my collections complete, although something tells me i'll never complete my collection without spending too much on opened blind boxes on-line!

So this is how my shelf stands at the moment! I'm putting up another 2 just to compensate on room because I actually have nowhere else to store any more!

No matter how old I get I know there's one thing that will never change.. I will forever continue to collect vinyl figures, it captures my childhood in a heartbeat and I'll forever hold on to that.

Tokidoki Love

tokidoki ("sometimes" in Japanese) is the Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand created in 2005 by Italian artist Simone Legno and his business partners Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold.
tokidoki produces apparel, footwear, accessories and other products using art, iconic characters and the tokidoki logo designed by Simone Legno, including purses, t-shirts, vinyl figures, jewellery, and small toys. - Wikipedia.

Being a lover of all things cute, Tokidoki really captured my heart and my vinyl toy collection is 90% made up of Tokidoki items from the cactus friends to unicorno's! would love to be able to add the Moofia to these in time! (especially Latte!)

Simone Lengo is a genius and this is shown with his collaborations with companies like Sanrio (hello kitty), Marvel, Skull candy, Barbie along with many others! The company is endorsed by so many celebrities even being featured in 'No love - lil wayne feat Eminem.

The tattooed Barbie caused controversy all over the world as well as selling out everywhere in record time! I don't know why it caused so much uproar with parents all over the world but it did, yes it was the first Barbie to have non removable tattoo's but they had released a Barbie that had transferable tattoo's on them!  I think that this Barbie showed the way the world is moving forward years ago woman having tattoo's was a taboo and now were socially accepted to have them! The price of this Barbie showed that it was clearly a collectable item, so most purchases I can Imagine have gone to people like myself that appreciate Simone Lengo's work! Although I know my 6 year old sister would be in love with her as she loves the idea of Tattoo's since i got my first.
