Unicorno series 2

You have no idea how excited I am to say that a unicorno series 2 has been confirmed and are ready to pre-order! According to Forbidden planet (UK) they are expected on December 31st. Perfect start to the new year! Although the full set hasn't been revealed as yet Tokidoki's Instagram - Tokidokibrand has been releasing images of the new collection one by one! and each one is better than the next.

The first taster the collection,
possibly my favourite unicorno!
This Japanese themed unicorno is bursting with oriental flair, from the cherry blossoms to the chopsticks in it's mane,
this unnamed unicorno is a must for my collection.

Meet Bamboo - A pandacorn!
A gorgeous panda themed unicorno,
straight from the depths of Tokidoki Land

The Third :Say hello to Rodeo
A gorgeous rocking unicorno, Based on a rocking horse
this unicorno is all set with handles and a board.

Meet sunny day
The white unicorno covered in polka dots,
An adorable unicorno for anyone's collection!

Meet caramelo
I love this unicorno! it looks as if it's based on the day of the dead. With a mexican skull themed face and bones covering it's body. I love the use of colour on this one!

The full collection can be seen here. I'm really not sure about the last 2 but I'm in love with the rest!

Truffle!

I have been meaning to get this little guy since Easter so whilst walking around forbidden planet, I saw him alone and in the wrong place therefore I had to get him! Better late than never eh?

Donutella!

She is probably my Favourite tokidoki purchase of all time, and the dearest! My first Tokidoki plush purchase and I'm actually impressed with the quality. I have so many idea's to utilise her and as my sisters have falling in love with her I'm making a picture book full of her travels therefore wherever I go she will go, also with the aid of Photoshop at parts I'm guessing. Cheap and cheerful Christmas present for them and a open door of creativity for me!

Sharpie x Lava lamp collaboration

i love lava lamps and when tokidoki's involved in anything I fall head over heels with it so when I heard about this collab with sharpie and Lava lamp I had to check it out!

These 5 lava lamps are a one of a kind and can be won over Facebook (yes facebook the devil itself.) With a trip to wherever the art on the lava lamp is inspired from, so I'm guessing the tokidoki one will be japan and honestly that would be a dream come true. Although I love the tokidoki Lava lamp i quite like the others too, Artwork on the others are from roth, boey, langille and choonimals.

My tokidoki collection #2

So after searching for months for a Latte, Ebay finally granted my wish and although one of my mates figured out He was on there too and bumped the price up he is finally mine, Ebay is also a curse in my book, spent way too much on tokidoki figures, So here are the latest in my overflowing collection!

 Mou Mou, Choco and Latte!

Latte is quite frankly my most sought after tokidoki Character, I honestly Can't believe I now own one! I Think after till death do us part the moofia is my favourite of the Tokidoki clans of characters! Although with the chances of me finding a latte I told my mum I wouldn't need to buy another figure, (so we'll keep that a secret for now, hello royal pride)

Devil robots x Tokidoki Trexi.

Now I didn't realise this existed till I stumbled upon her on ebay, I'm not too sure what I make of her she does have another side to her and is adjustable. I love the fact that I sort of have something close to a tokidoki girl in my collection.

Wreck this journal #5

I've been slacking on my wreck this journal but the last few day's I've gotten stuck back in it! So here's the latest update, please ignore the 5 year old like finger painting.

Page 13 - This page is for Handprints or finger prints, get them dirty. Then press them down.

Excuse the Soddy painting, Used the leftovers of what my sisters used to create a abominable mess, but I totally hit my childhood days with this!

Page 80-81 - Drip something here (ink, paint, tea) Close the book to make a print.

I'm really pleased with how this turned out, so i didn't drip I sort of used quick random strokes instead. But I honestly think I'm the only person to think it's a peacock!

Page 167 - Document Time passing.

Well I struggled to get a concept for this page (and yes I know, wreck this journal isn't really for over thinking but this is me and that's how I am)

So clearly the Hickery dickery dock clock and the mice. Then random quotes about time. (pretty basic really) but my inspiration behind this was a wake up call to myself, I've wasted a lot and I mean a lot of my time this year  dwelling on the past and it's about time I snap out of it because Life is for living.

Page 106 - This page is dedicated to Lyrics

Another one of the pages I've added myself so my Journal doesn't have blank pages and to be honest, if Kerry smith knew the audience that in general would buy wreck this journal I have no doubt there would be a page similar to this included somewhere in it.

So just a quick update; currently in progress are the best pages of my journal in my opinion, Including the colour this page which will be tokidoki themed and is taking hours to complete. The fruit stickers page which  I'll be amazed ever gets finished.... It's horrible seeing my wreck this journal journey come to an end but all good things come to an end and after I was so disappointed with this is not a book I hope there's another in the series that captivates me as much as this has! Part 6 will be along a lot sooner than this update I promise!

Royal pride

New season, new collection say hello to the royal pride!

"The law of the urban jungle has no room for the weak. Lion Pappa’s gang, Royal Pride, gets wild and rough to protect their turf. They make the rules, get rich and spoil their girls, the only ones who rule these boys! Brute force and jungle instinct make Royal Pride the kings!”

So taking over from the unicorno Blind boxes are these beauties. Lions and lionesses, a shady black cat and is that a poodle and a dog in amongst it there?! Either way I have no doubt I will own almost all of them eventually I love how urban they are, The yellow lion reminds me of a burger king ad!

Tokidoki Limited edition.

I'm probably a little late blogging about this I found this website a while ago and fell in love with almost everything on it! Especially the Limited edition tokidoki Item's, if someone fancies buying me any of the items on here I'd marry you in a heartbeat. no seriously.

This has to be my favourite piece! Not only for my love of cherries but this would look adorable anywhere! I'd kill to have this is in my living room, with a few Tokidoki plushes sat on it! This is currently not on the website for sale.

This is amazing, not only does it incorporate most tokidoki original characters but the tattooed female which Tokidoki represents (hence the tokidoki Barbie). Also I have to say the fact Latte is a fair size on this chair makes it even better for myself, It also has the cactus pals, Adio's and ciao ciao, Dounutella, unicorno's, Royal pride, skulls, diamonds, swallows and vampire lips.

Now if you don't have £1,595 to spend (which let's face it most of us don't) there is an alternative item's a lot cheaper but still as adorable, they tend to sell out pretty fast and because there Limited edition there's no saying how many will be made.

The 'Tokidoki pillow' incorporates every tokidoki character like the chair above minus the tattooed beauty, so from the Moofia to the cactus pals everyone's favourite is one here!

The 'Tokidoki Singapore pillow', Has everything the chair has, different pattern of the characters with the tattooed beauty. I love the way Tokidoki portrays woman, so much so one day I will have one tattooed myself!

Tokidoki tea time! From what I can see this is the item that sells out most frequently, it's currently sold out and I know why it's to adorable to say no too! covered in Tokidoki favourites it's a must have for any collector!

search Tokidoki, although I'd happily buy almost one of every collection they have on here!

My tokidoki collection!

Now if you know me personally, you'd know I have a soft spot for anything remotely cute or hello kitty. Out of this strange obsession and yes it is strange when your best friends have to answer the question 'why are you in the kids section looking for a birthday card if she's 19' my love of vinyl toys appeared, specifically tokidoki!

I'm in love with Simone lengos work and 90% of my collection as you'll see in this post is tokidoki! Amongst these I do have a gloomy bear kid robot figure which started my collection, I found it in the window of a charity shop and made my mum que outside for it the next day and at £1 it's the best buy I've ever had! and some skellanimals along with a little mermaid Barbie!

At the moment my collection is mainly based around Unicorno's and Cactus pals! As you have to buy unicorno's blind boxed I have a double of ritmo and bellina as well as dolce, mooka and pepperino I have singly! just 5 more to go till my collections complete, although something tells me i'll never complete my collection without spending too much on opened blind boxes on-line!

So this is how my shelf stands at the moment! I'm putting up another 2 just to compensate on room because I actually have nowhere else to store any more!

No matter how old I get I know there's one thing that will never change.. I will forever continue to collect vinyl figures, it captures my childhood in a heartbeat and I'll forever hold on to that.

Tokidoki Love

tokidoki ("sometimes" in Japanese) is the Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand created in 2005 by Italian artist Simone Legno and his business partners Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold.
tokidoki produces apparel, footwear, accessories and other products using art, iconic characters and the tokidoki logo designed by Simone Legno, including purses, t-shirts, vinyl figures, jewellery, and small toys. - Wikipedia.

Being a lover of all things cute, Tokidoki really captured my heart and my vinyl toy collection is 90% made up of Tokidoki items from the cactus friends to unicorno's! would love to be able to add the Moofia to these in time! (especially Latte!)

Simone Lengo is a genius and this is shown with his collaborations with companies like Sanrio (hello kitty), Marvel, Skull candy, Barbie along with many others! The company is endorsed by so many celebrities even being featured in 'No love - lil wayne feat Eminem.

The tattooed Barbie caused controversy all over the world as well as selling out everywhere in record time! I don't know why it caused so much uproar with parents all over the world but it did, yes it was the first Barbie to have non removable tattoo's but they had released a Barbie that had transferable tattoo's on them!  I think that this Barbie showed the way the world is moving forward years ago woman having tattoo's was a taboo and now were socially accepted to have them! The price of this Barbie showed that it was clearly a collectable item, so most purchases I can Imagine have gone to people like myself that appreciate Simone Lengo's work! Although I know my 6 year old sister would be in love with her as she loves the idea of Tattoo's since i got my first.
